The timeline hangs by a thread. Impulse Vol.1 No.75 (August 2001) delivers “Dark Tomorrow, Part Three” — a pivotal chapter in the arc as Bart Allen and his future self destroy one of President Thawne’s deadly satellites, only for Bart to be struck by the Hyper-Ray, scattering energy-based “scouts” of himself across time. Then Thawne reveals the worst: a second satellite has already bathed the southern hemisphere in the Hyper-Ray, causing mass death and destruction. To prevent the Hyper-Ray from ever being invented, Carol Bucklen agrees to travel further into the future with Meloni Allen, leaving Bart a locket before she goes. Bart’s scouts race back in time to save Max Mercury and Helen Claiborne, the future begins to change — and Bart weeps as Iris Allen brings him home. Written by Todd Dezago, pencils by Carlo Barberi, inks by Juan Vlasco, cover by Ethan Van Sciver and Wayne Faucher. New – unread store stock in excellent condition. Direct Sales Edition.
