A night at the theatre turns into a night on the job. Robin Vol.2 No.34 (October 1996) presents “Situations and Comedies” — a sharp, character-rich chapter from Chuck Dixon’s celebrated run. Tim Drake and his friends head to Gotham Park for a beach production of Macbeth (extra credit, naturally), but Tim spots armed muggers waiting for the crowd to disperse. With no time to call the police and his friends watching, Tim has to suit up as Robin and take down three armed thugs — all while desperately avoiding being identified by Helena Bertinelli or his girlfriend Ariana. The twist ending is pure Dixon. Pencils by Jennifer Graves, inks by John Dell, colors by Adrienne Roy, cover by Mike Wieringo, edited by Dennis O’Neil.
