Arriving in Mingan on the North Shore of the St. Lawrence, a couple of visitors spot a young girl floating on the sea. Believing they are coming to her rescue, they discover that Daphné, 11, is recording the singing of whales for a show. Daphné has an exceptional relationship with whales and dolphins, thanks to her highly developed hearing. But her life risks changing when her grandfather decides to sell the seaside inn.
